Wedding flowers. Whew. They’re not the biggest ticketed item on your wedding budget, but they can sure account for a decent chunk.

We only book about 13 weddings per season, so our calendar can fill up quickly. Couples planning a wedding in the Kansas City area should secure a florist as soon as a location and wedding date have been confirmed. We typically start to book inquiries 9 months to 1 year before the wedding date.

The burning question on everyone’s mind is about pricing. Am I right? I had a hunch.

The short answer is that our minimum wedding event ranges between $1,000 – $3,500. I realize that is a huge range and somewhat vague, but it’s the best I can offer at this point in the conversation.

The long, and more accurate answer is … it depends–on a lot. Guest count, number of locations, overall style, and seasonality all play a part in the pricing … and those are not the only things.

Our service packages are flexible to meet a variety of budgets. The best way to find out if we’re the right fit is to ask. Start an inquiry here.

Not at all. Our wedding services rage from à la carte to full-service. You select the floral arrangements and services that you need.

We are just as happy to create a bridal bouquet and boutonnière for a small courthouse wedding as we are to assist you with design and décor for 350 guests in a ballroom. There are some limitations on the varieties and bloom selection available for  à la carte items.

Yes, we are happy to coordinate with any of your vendors. In particular, we will always ask for your contact person at the venue and your cake decorator if we are doing flowers for your cake.

Beautiful blooms are our priority but we understand that they are only one aspect of your special event’s overall aesthetic.

You may add Event Styling & Visual Coordination to your lineup of services to ensure a professional + cohesive aesthetic and event experience throughout your day. Signage, linens, event collateral … you name it and we’ve probably got an option, a suggestion, or a referral for you.

Yes. We are happy to rent any vases that we are able to reuse. Rental vases are quoted at full price in the proposal with a credit at the end of our engagement once the vases are returned.

All vessels are due back to KC Flower Truck seven days after your event. This will allow you to enjoy the flowers for several days.

Yes. There is a charge which includes travel time.  The average rate is $175.

Delivery charges will vary depending on the floral package you select and the delivery distance. Delivery includes drop off at the location(s) of your choice. Delivery does not include any setup or transfer charges. Delivery + Set-up options are available for delivery, setup and transfer. Additional travel fees may apply if your delivery location falls outside of a 40-mile radius.

Local flowers in the Kansas City area are available from late May through first frost usually in early October.

When our locally grown flowers are out of season, we have the ability to order American-grown flowers as an alternative.

We are happy to create a mock-up of any element that you would like after the contract is signed. Our preference is to create it between 60 to 40 days before the wedding to account for seasonal flowers that may not be available year around. This also gives us time to make adjustments before the final proposal and before we give commitments to our vendors.

There are two pricing options with mock-ups. We can create them for you at 55% of retail value and we will keep them once you have seen them or you may take them home to enjoy at regular price.

We require a 25% deposit when you reserve the date for your wedding, and ask that the remaining balance be paid in full at least 30 days prior to your wedding flower delivery date. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards – and coordinate these payments using Square.

  • We’re booked on your event date.
  • Our styles don’t jive.
  • Just because.

We get it – for one reason or another, we may not be the right fit to work together.

That doesn’t mean we don’t want to help. Feel free to use the resources on our site to help organize your thoughts. The florist you end up working with will appreciate it!

PLUS – the network of Kansas City Event Florist is FULL of talented floral artists. If you’re looking for a referral for a fellow florist who may be a better fit – ask! We have lots of flower friends in the business and would love to make the introduction.

Ultimately, the success of your wedding floral designs comes down to the overall experience – and that starts with your floral vendor being a good fit for you.
